Click here: ForTheCultureSTL Presents: The Black Owned Farm Tour
Black neighborhoods are, by design, heavily submersed in food swamps; meaning there are food options but majority of the time they are unhealthy. Even grocery stores in Black communities are usually overfilled with toxic and highly processed foods and underfilled with fresh, healthier options.
ForTheCultureSTL is teaming up with Ujima to visit their George Washington Carver Farm which sits in a historically Black neighborhood. We'll be touring their farm and ending with a short car-ride to Clay Elementary, 3820 North 14th, where you will be able to pick your own fresh food for FREE!
