CLICK HERE: Mother 2 Mother: Five Years Later
Weeks following the killing of Michael Brown and the ensuing upheaval in Ferguson, eight African American mothers took the stage at the Missouri History Museum to have a conversation with an audience of white mothers about “the talk” they have with their sons about driving, walking, and living while black in America. Five years later, much has changed and much has stayed the same. What has happened in the lives of those mothers and their sons? What grew out of those conversations and the work being done to change the reality of too many mothers across America?
Make plans to view the full collections of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Pulitzer Prize-winning photos of the Ferguson protests in the "Pulitzer Prize Photographs" and "In Focus: St. Louis Post-Dispatch Photographs" exhibit gallery.
