Blush on the Boulevard opened its doors in late 2015 after the owner, Tara Lowery, closed the doors of her first studio The Beauty Lounge.  Having already established her brand as Tara Lowery Makeup, she longed for the team atmosphere that she had known for most of her life so she decided to make some changes. This former basketball standout at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte was introduced to the beauty field shortly after her career ended. Her passion for the wedding industry and love for servicing others has made her one of the industry’s leading Makeup Artists.

Tara’s outstanding career and service has afforded her the opportunity to work with many celebrities from Actress Tika Sumpter to Olympian Dawn Harper- Nelson to Senator Bernie Sanders just to name a few. In addition, she has worked on commercial shoots for News KMOV, Harpers Bazaar, and Vanity Fair just to name a few.
